About the COLUMBIA 40
The COLUMBIA 40 was based on Morgans successful racer 'Sabre'. She featured a number of innovations for the time including a molded in steel frame skeleton and a hydraulically controlled centerboard. Also available as a yawl.
Designed by Charles Morgan and built by Columbia Yachts (USA) between 1964 and 1969, the Columbia 40 is a substantial cruising sloop with a production run of 55 hulls.
