About the NEW YORK YACHT CLUB 30
This was the smallest of the Universal Rule-influenced one-design classes built for members of the New York Yacht Club and fleet racing existed into the early 1930's. A number of the original boats have survived in to the 20th century and been restored to a high standard.
The New York Yacht Club 30 is a rare, historic vessel designed by Nathanael G. Herreshoff and built by Herreshoff Mfg. Co.(USA) between 1904 and 1905. With only 18 hulls built, this gaffhead sloop represents a significant piece of maritime history rather than a mass-produced cruising platform.
