Designed by George Larsen and built by Janus Inc. in the USA, the Ghost 13 is a compact fractional sloop with a production run of 300 hulls starting in 1964. With a displacement of 105.0 lb and a length overall of 13.25 ft, it represents a lightweight, trailerable design from the mid-1960s.

Best for:

This boat is best suited for coastal day sailing, lake cruising, and trailerable recreation rather than extended offshore passages. Its light displacement and small size make it ideal for single-handers or couples seeking a low-maintenance, easy-to-store vessel.

Bluewater capability:

With a capsize ratio of 4.24 and a comfort ratio of 1.73, the Ghost 13 is not designed for bluewater cruising and is strictly limited to protected coastal waters.
