About the ESSEX ONE-DESIGN (UK)
Commisioned by Essex Yacht Club for sailing on the River Thames Estuary. A new FG version was developed in 1966 when the the class merged with the THAMES ESTUARY ONE-DESIGN (1911, also by Morgan-Giles.) which has an active fleet to this day. See THAMES ESTUARY ONE-DESIGN.
