The design was originally to be called HANS CHRISTIAN 54 though none were sold under that name.
The CT-54 is a substantial cruising ketch designed by Robert Perry and built by Ta Chaio Shipbuilding Co. (TAIWAN) between 1975 and 1981, with a total production run of 100 hulls. Its design emphasizes comfort and stability, evidenced by a high comfort ratio of 50.92 and a displacement of 57000.0 lb.
