About the CAPO 30
Designed to compete under the MORC rule. Similar to later OLSON 911S (1985). In appearance, it is similar to SCHUMACHER 30, built by Dennis Choate though the latter is said to be a completely different design. Thanks to 'SPD' for corrections.
The Capo 30 is a rare, compact cruising sloop designed by Carl Schumacher and built by Westerly Marine (USA) between 1984 and 1985, with only 8 hulls produced. Its extremely limited production run makes it a unique collector's item, but the small sample size means owner-reported issues are highly concentrated and critical.

- With a displacement of 7200.0 lb and a low capsize ratio of 2.14, the Capo 30 possesses the physical attributes for offshore passage-making, but its bluewater readiness is severely compromised by widespread reports of deck core moisture and structural cracking.
