Day racer with small cabin and possibly inboard aux. At least 5 were built. None survive. Model and plans exist at the Herreshoff Marine Museum but no photo has been found (by us). At least one replica has been built (2011?): Artisan Boatworks Rockport, Maine USA
The Buzzards Bay 18 is a rare, historic gaffhead sloop designed by N Herreshoff and built by Herreshoff Manufacturing (USA) between 1903 and 1904. With only 5 hulls built, this vessel represents a significant piece of maritime history rather than a mass-produced cruising platform.
