About the MARAUDER 8.4
Thanks to Yvonne McGill for providing images and additional information. According to to the designer, about 80 sets of plans were sold. A fiberglass production version was introduced in 1978 of which approximately 100 were built. Bilge keel and keel/cb versions were available but most were turned out with fin keels.
The Marauder 8.4 is a fractional sloop designed by Alan Wright and built by Bruce Hopwood Yachts Ltd (NZ) from 1976–1989, with a total of 200 hulls produced. This New Zealand-built cruiser offers a balanced blend of performance and comfort, characterized by its 27.56 ft LOA and 5611.0 lb displacement.
