About the LIS
Referred to here is the LIS Dinghy (Jolle) though it actually has a small low cuddy containing 2 berths. There are two other variations on the same hull: LIS-JOLLENKREUZER' in 1967, has a small cabin (with 2 berths and a table). With the LIS-FAMILY, the hull was widened slightly with a longer larger cabin and shorter cockpit. The cockpit became self bailinng in 1978. Class rules for the LIS allow the use of 1 trapeze. Seen mostly in Germany but also exported to Canada. (LIS 500 CRUISER) Gade Marine is the original and current builder. (www.gade-boote.de)
