About the INTERNATIONAL 21
Sometime in the late 1970's, a company called Southcoast Boats (Oldsmar FL,USA) began making a similar model called the EXPLORER (21)??, almost certainly from the same tooling. It is thought that at least 30 of this later version were built.
The International 21 is a compact, trailerable sloop designed by Helsen and built by International Yacht Corp. in the USA, with production records indicating a single build year of 1976. With a displacement of 1750.0 lb and a beam of 7.33 ft, it represents a lightweight, performance-oriented entry into the cruising market.
