Prototype was an entry for the ISAF youth catamaran trails (2005). Another boat (SL 16) was selected. Production versions introduced in 2007. Hobie Max Club Hobie Max Race Hobie Max Race+ Racing version conforms to F18 rule. Features a removable skeg assembly.
