Designed by Richard Lazzarra and David Jones and built by Lazarra Marine/Gulfstar Inc., the Gulfstar 36 is a rare, heavy-displacement cruising sloop with only 23 hulls constructed between 1983 and 1985. Its substantial build quality and conservative design reflect the high-end custom-cruiser ethos of the early 1980s.
