About the GRAMPIAN 46
With the exception of the unique feature of tandem centerboards,(offered as an option) the GRAMPIAN 46 seems to be nearly the same design as the US 46. Both of these yachts are probably from the same tooling used to build the earlier US 41.
The Grampian 46 is a rare, heavy-displacement cruising yacht designed by William H. Tripp Jr. and built by Grampian Marine between 1969 and 1976. With only 12 hulls constructed, this vessel represents a specialized niche of high-quality, traditional boatbuilding from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
