About the GRAMPIAN 2-34
Grampian built an ealier, and entirely different 34 based on the TRIANGLE 32. When Grampian went bankrupt in 1977, the molds for the 34-2 were sold, and few more were built elsewhere as the SEAFORTH 34.
Designed by R. van der Staad and built by Grampian Marine Ltd. (CAN) between 1974 and 1977, the Grampian 2-34 is a compact yet heavy-displacement cruiser with only 50 hulls produced. Its substantial displacement of 11800.0 lb and high comfort ratio of 28.57 indicate a design prioritizing seakeeping and stability over raw speed.
