Originally sold as SPINDRIFT 43. A later version, built in China (mainland), to this same design, is called the HAMPTON 43.
The Formosa 44 is a robust cruising sloop designed by Ron Amy and built by Formosa Boat Building Co. Ltd. in 1983. With a displacement of 34810.0 lb and a full/long keel, this vessel represents a classic, heavy-displacement design philosophy from the early 1980s.
