About the COLUMBIA 39 CONSTELLATION
Design credit for this model was never listed in any of the promotional literature. But the similarities to the earlier COLUMBIA 40 seem obvious. A keel/cb version was also offered. Neither version was built in great numbers. A later, entirely different COLUMBIA 39 was introduced in 1970.
The Columbia 39 Constellation is a rare, heavy-displacement cruising sloop designed by Charles Morgan and built by Columbia Yachts (USA) between 1966 and 1967. With only 7 hulls built, this model represents a very limited production run of a classic American cruiser.
