About the CAPRI CYCLONE
In order to improve performance and handeling, the CAPRI CYCLONE class approved a modification to the rig that reduced the sail area from 78sf to 74sf in 1978. (shortening the mast and recutting the sail.) This was offered as a free modification by the builder.
The Capri Cyclone is a compact 13.0 ft trailerable sailboat designed by Frank Butler and built by Capri Sailboats/Catalina Yachts (USA). With 2400 hulls built starting in 1970, it represents a significant volume of production for its size, offering a lightweight displacement of 145.0 lb.
