About the CAL 24
The first 'Cal' boat produced by Jensen Marine. Thanks to Roy Cundiff for providing the photo (taken by Michelle Kringen) of his boat.
Designed by Bill Lapworth and built by Jensen Marine (USA) from 1958–1965, the CAL 24 is a classic fractional sloop with 184 hulls produced. Owner reports highlight a strong aftermarket support ecosystem, with Yanmar engines and North sails being the most common upgrades, though structural integrity of the deck core remains a primary concern.
