About the BARCHETTA CLASS
Based on the earlier 'Sopranino' (1950). (The original Sopranino is on display at the Maritime Museum on the Isle of Wight UK) Thanks to Jan Dirks for providing updated information. The photo is of his own BARCHETTA which is the last one built. The designer is said to have sailed an open version of the BARCHETTA which was the only boat he ever owned.
