About the ALDEN O CLASS MK I
Alden design #61. It is thought that no more than 20 of this first version of the O Class were built. Designed as a trainer, it proved to be too tender and skitish for the younger sailer and they had died out by 1931. A second version (see ALDEN O MK II) proved to be far more popular.
