About the ALDEN 50
Alden design #1180x. (ALDEN 50/52/54). Of this series, the ALDEN 50 was the first boat planned and the last built. Not to be confused with another ALDEN 50 built by Cheoy Lee, a much earlier design. See ALDEN 54 (1985).
The Alden 50 is an ultra-exclusive, heavy-displacement cruising yacht designed by Alden Yachts and built by Alden Yachts Inc. (USA) between 1996 and 1998. With only 3 hulls built, this rare vessel represents the pinnacle of traditional American yacht building, featuring a 38000.0 lb displacement and a 13.5 ft beam.
